Handmade gifts
Unique gifts with individual character
Paper bead bracelets
Plump, little paper beads in marine blue and aqua with hints of sunny yellow strips run rings around the circumference of the paper beads. The stripy paper beads are consecutively strung with little, paper beads in Pale Lavender and tiny transparent acrylic seed beads, creating a dramatic statement combination piece.
The Bracelet is strung on transparent stretch elastic. The unstretched internal diameter is 5 cm. Please refer to the additional photograph showing how the bracelet is measured. The beads are Handmade and Handcrafted by Mimi, all Made in Britain. Each individual paper bead is made from strips of paper, hand rolled to create the shape. A hardener and glaze is applied to each individual bead, this protects the bead from moisture. Its ok if the piece of jewelry gets a wee bit wet in the rain, let it dry naturally in an airy place. But you cannot wash them or wear them in the bath. Rolling the strips of paper creates variations in colour and pattern, that are unique. This makes a truly ONE OF A KIND Piece of jewelry. I use various kinds of paper to make the beads, from fine Japanese Washi paper to glossy coffee table magazine
