+bucketfeet and +Spoonflower have teamed up for a whole month of challenges, celebrating the rich, diverse cultures of The Native American People.

Inspired by "Spirit Animals" This weeks theme is desert Animals

My two favorite companies are teaming up together ....

and for a great cause too.

For every Artists design, in the competiotion, +Spoonflower are donating $1 to the Native American Rights Fund.  An organization that works to protect Native rights. 

+Bucketfeet will also be donating $1 for every pair sold.

So I have gathered my inspiration from the Native American peoples rich heritage, art and traditions.  It's been an awesome journey of learning.

I learnt about Spirit animals and Totems and discovered rich carvings and cave art, symbols and meaning in everything.

So This design is called "The spirit of the desert" The Falcon.

Falcons symbolize independence.  It is the Birth Totem for people born from 

March 21st to April 19th

The Falcon in Native legend was the hunting companion to the aristocracy.

I hope my design portrays, the drama and essence of the native legends
